| here is a picture of ONE of my Dad's '69 Darts. This one is a Dart Custom (trim level, not customized). This is sooo fun. He swapped out the original motor for something a little bigger. I think its in the 270ish CID range. But my dad has another '69 Dart that he bought for parts (power everything) and he is putting all of it into this Green one. In the background is me waxing my 42mph Hydroplane boat at our cottage. I'm looking for better pictures of the Dart. Will report back with them later. | |

| Those Enkeis aren't that bad man really... I mean they could be worse at least anyway. They at least look era-correct. They look like wheels that would have been the hot ticket in the car's heyday. Nice rides though dude. The trucks too. I love some 4x4s too. Being from South MS it's in my blood really. Done a looooot of mud riding in my day. Used to have a 95 F150 with the 302 and a five speed. 4:10 gears, six inch lift with 35 inch BFG all terrains on some Cragar rims.
I dunno if you guys noticed my last name on my Audi over on the TORA forums, but you'll never guess what my dad's name is. Haha. If only I could've been a Jr....
Other than that I've had a couple of Rangers. I miss the first one. It was a 95 model extended cab with the 4.0 V6 and a 5 speed stick. It came in that odd blue-purple color Ford had back then with silver on the bottom. I had a cold air intake (K&N) with some Flowmasters... Nothing special but that little truck would fly, man! I had some shorter wider Cobra tires on it (it had the 14 inch deer-hoof rims) and I pegged out the speedo in it once or twice, which was 130. But with the shorter tires it was probably closer to 120-125. It got a little shaky though, so I didn't do it much.
My second Ranger was an 02 model Edge 4x4. Had the 4.0 SOHC motor with an auto tranny. But it had 410 gears, where the first one had 308s. It wasn't positive traction, but it would smoke one tire for days. Lol
Then I had an 08 F150, there are pictures of what's left of it over on TORA. I really miss that one. That truck was my baby. STX package, 4.6. Cold air intake, true duals, and a Hypertech programmer. For a small V8 it was spunky. But 115, maybe 120 on a cold day, was about all it had in it.
But. Now my ride is a 2012 Fusion. I have to drive a lot (when I'm not crippled) and the truck was killing me. Even at 20 mpg. I put 150,000 miles on that truck in just under 4 years. So now I'm getting 33. And the car is actually fun to drive, I love it. Compared to the truck it's like driving a formula one car. Sticks to the road like glue. I don't feel like hunting up a picture at the moment but it looks identical to the Fusion in Forza. Same color red. Only difference is the wheels. And mine isn't AWD, it's got the four banger in it. | |
